A decadent, no-bake dessert combining the iconic crunch of Oreo cookies with the silky richness of Nutella and fluffy whipped cream. As it sets overnight, the cookie layers soften into a cake-like consistency, creating a stunning layered treat perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
- 30 whole Oreo cookies (for the layers)
- 1 cup Nutella (melted until pourable)
Cookies-and-Cream Filling
- 1 3/4 cups heavy cream (cold)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 10 Oreo cookies (crushed into small chunks)
Instructions
Whip: Beat cold heavy cream and powdered sugar in a chilled bowl until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the 10 crushed Oreos.
Layer: Line a 13×9-inch dish with 15 whole Oreos. Spread half of the cream mixture over the cookies.
Nutella: Pour half of the melted (but not hot) Nutella over the cream. Repeat the layers: 15 more Oreos, the rest of the cream, and a final Nutella drizzle.
Rest: Cover and refrigerate for 8–12 hours. This ‘mandatory rest’ allows the cookies to soften into a cake-like texture.
Garnish: Top with extra crushed Oreos before serving.
Notes
The Mandatory Rest: Do not serve early! The overnight chill is what transforms brittle cookies into the signature ‘lasagna’ texture. Slicing too soon will result in hard, unyielding layers.
Nutella Prep: Microwave in 15-second bursts until liquid. It must be cool to the touch before pouring over the cream to prevent the whipped filling from melting.
Whipped Cream Stability: Avoid over-beating the heavy cream; stop as soon as peaks are soft and hold their shape. Over-mixing will cause the cream to separate into butter.
