Description
This Sweet Maple Glazed Ham is an absolute showstopper, perfect for making any meal feel extra special. It’s a symphony of sweet, savory, and subtly spiced flavors that coat a tender, juicy ham, creating a dish that’s both comforting and elegant.
Ingredients
1 fully cooked spiral-cut turkey ham (6–8 lbs)
1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
1/2 cup pineapple juice
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
Instructions
Gently place your spiral-cut turkey ham into the slow cooker.
Combine brown sugar, maple syrup, pineapple juice, Dijon mustard, cinnamon, and cloves in a bowl to make a smooth glaze.
Pour this delightful glaze over the ham, making sure to get some between the slices.
Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, basting it with the juices every hour.
Finally, move the ham to a serving platter, collect the pan juices for a gravy boat, and serve it warm.
Notes
Ensure your slow cooker is large enough to accommodate the 6-8 lb ham comfortably. If it’s too snug, the glaze might not distribute as evenly.
A fully cooked ham is already safe to eat. The cooking time in the slow cooker is primarily to heat it through and allow the glaze to meld with the ham. Aim for the internal temperature to reach around 140°F (60°C) for optimal warmth and juiciness.
