Creamy yogurt and bright blueberries frozen into refreshing, homemade popsicles.

Sweet Blueberry Yogurt Popsicles

  • Total Time: 6-10 hours (includes freezing)
  • Yield: Approximately 6-8 popsicles (depending on mold size) 1x

Description

Beat the heat with these delightfully sweet and creamy blueberry yogurt popsicles. Bursting with fresh berry flavor and a hint of tang from Greek yogurt, these frozen treats are a refreshing and healthier alternative to store-bought options, perfect for kids and adults alike on a warm summer day. These vibrant popsicles offer a perfect balance of sweet blueberries and creamy yogurt, making them an irresistible frozen indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

3 cups fresh or frozen blueberries (if using frozen, do not thaw)
1 cup full-fat plain or vanilla yogurt (Greek yogurt works well for a creamier texture)
1/3 cup honey or pure maple syrup (adjust depending on berry sweetness)
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Optional: A pinch of sea salt to enhance the flavor

Instructions

Combine blueberries, yogurt, honey, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and salt in a blender.

Blend until smooth and creamy, about 1 to 2 minutes. You can pulse for a textured result.

Taste and add more honey if needed, then blend again.

Pour the mixture into popsicle molds, leaving a small space at the top.

Gently tap the molds to remove air bubbles.

Insert the popsicle sticks.

Freeze for at least 6 hours, or overnight, until firm.

To release, briefly run molds under warm water and gently pull popsicles out.

Notes

For an ultra-smooth texture, you can strain the blueberry mixture through a fine-mesh sieve after blending to remove any tiny seeds or skins before pouring into the molds.

When unmolding, a quick dip in warm water is usually all you need. Be gentle to avoid breaking the popsicle.

Taste your blueberry mixture before freezing. The sweetness of blueberries can vary, so adjust the honey or maple syrup accordingly.

Don’t overfill your popsicle molds, as liquids can expand slightly when frozen, which could cause issues.
