Description

Get ready to tantalize your taste buds with these irresistible Jalapeno Popper Roll Ups! They’re a delightful twist on the classic appetizer, blending creamy, spicy, and cheesy goodness into perfectly portioned bites that are oh-so-addictive. Everyone adores a good appetizer, and these will certainly be a new favorite for game nights, parties, or any occasion calling for a delicious handheld treat.

Ingredients

Scale

8 oz cream cheese softened
2 cups pepper jack or cheddar cheese or a blend shredded
2 jalapenos seeded, membrane removed and chopped finely
dash garlic salt (to taste)
4 6 inch – large flour tortillas room temperature
23 green onions thinly sliced

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, chopped jalapenos, and garlic salt until everything is well combined. Do not add the tortillas or green onions yet.

2. Lay a tortilla flat on a plate. Spread about 2 to 3 tablespoons of the cheese mixture evenly over the tortilla, reaching all the edges.

3. Roll the tortilla up tightly. Place the rolled tortilla on a plate and repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.

4. Chill the rolled tortillas in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

5. Once chilled, trim the ends off each rolled tortilla. Arrange them on a serving dish and sprinkle with the sliced green onions.

Notes

For the smoothest filling and easiest mixing, ensure your cream cheese is properly softened to room temperature. This avoids lumps and makes spreading a breeze.

When pressing the crescent roll dough together, take a moment to really seal the seams. This prevents the filling from leaking out during baking and ensures a neat roll up.

Ovens can vary, so keep an eye on your roll ups during the last few minutes of baking. You’re looking for a lovely golden-brown hue on the pastry.

While they are best warm and gooey, let them cool for just a few minutes after coming out of the oven. This allows the filling to set just enough so they aren’t too molten.
