This easy, no-fuss pie is the ultimate indulgence, boasting a chocolatey base, a sweet, coconut-pecan filling, and a fluffy whipped cream topping.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust
2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs like Oreos, crushed
6 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
For the Filling
1 package 8 oz cream cheese, softened
½ cup powdered sugar
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips melted and cooled
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 container 8 oz whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
For the Coconut-Pecan Topping
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup granulated sugar
3 large egg yolks lightly beaten
½ cup unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups sweetened shredded coconut
1 cup chopped pecans
Optional Garnish
Whipped cream
Chocolate shavings

Instructions

Make the Crust. Mix cookie crumbs with melted butter. Press into a pie dish, and chill.

Prepare the Filling. Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar. Add melted chocolate and vanilla, then fold in whipped topping. Spread over the crust.

Cook the Topping. Whisk milk, sugar, and yolks. Add butter and cook until thick. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, coconut, and pecans. Cool.

Assemble. Spread topping over the filling. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Serve with whipped cream and chocolate shavings, if desired.

Notes

Softened Cream Cheese:
Make sure your cream cheese is softened to room temperature for the smoothest filling.

Whipping Cream:
Be careful not to overwhip the whipped cream. Stop mixing once stiff peaks have formed.

Chill Time:
Don’t rush the chilling process! The longer the pie chills, the better it will taste.

Topping:
Add the whipped cream just before serving to maintain its texture.
