1 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9×13-inch glass baking dish.
In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, baking soda, and salt.
Add eggs and crushed pineapple with juice; mix until combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared dish.
Sprinkle pecans and brown sugar on top. Bake for 40-45 minutes.
While the cake bakes, combine evaporated milk, sugar, and butter in a saucepan. Heat over medium. Boil, then remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
