Ingredients

Scale

2 Tablespoons salted butter
10 ounces marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
6 tablespoons red and blue sprinkles divided use

Instructions

Prep a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper or cooking spray.

Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Do not brown.

Add marshmallows and stir until melted.

Remove from heat.

Stir in Rice Krispies cereal until coated.

Mix in 4 Tablespoons of sprinkles.

Pour into the prepared dish.

Press the mixture into the dish, using nonstick spray on your hand or a piece of parchment paper.

Sprinkle with remaining 2 Tablespoons of sprinkles and gently press in.

Let cool for 10-15 minutes.

Cut into 24 squares and serve.

Notes

Use fresh marshmallows for the best flavor and texture.

Don’t overmix the cereal into the marshmallow mixture, as this can make the treats tough.

Let the treats cool completely before cutting them.

For easy cleanup, line your baking pan with parchment paper before pouring in the mixture.

Store leftover treats in an airtight container at room temperature to keep them fresh.
