Ingredients
• 1.5 lbs skinless salmon fillets, cut into 1-inch cubes • 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil • 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce or tamari • 1 tbsp pure honey or maple syrup • 1 tsp garlic powder • 1 tsp smoked paprika • 1/2 tsp onion powder • Salt and black pepper to taste • Lemon wedges and chopped parsley for serving
Instructions
Prepare your air fryer by preheating it to 400F for 3 minutes.
Gently pat the salmon cubes dry and place them in a bowl.
Drizzle with oil, soy sauce, and honey, then season with garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper, tossing to coat each piece.
Arrange the seasoned salmon in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Cook at 400F for 7 to 9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the edges are delightfully crispy and the salmon is cooked through.
Serve immediately with lemon wedges and fresh parsley.
Notes
For the crispiest salmon bites, ensure you cook them in a single layer in the air fryer basket. If necessary, cook in batches.
Thoroughly patting the salmon dry before marinating is key to achieving those desirable crispy edges. Moisture is the enemy of crispiness!
Salmon cooks quickly. Keep an eye on your bites during the final minutes of cooking to prevent them from overcooking and becoming dry. They should be opaque and flake easily with a fork.
Shaking the air fryer basket halfway through the cooking time helps ensure even cooking and browning on all sides of the salmon bites.
