Notes
Gentle Simmering: When making the coffee-fudge sauce, maintain a medium heat and stir continuously to prevent the mixture from sticking to the bottom and burning. A gentle simmer is all that’s needed for it to thicken.
Sauce Consistency: The sauce will thicken further as it cools. If you find it too thick after cooling, you can stir in a tablespoon or two of milk or cream until your desired consistency is reached.
Toasting Nuts: For an enhanced flavor and crunch, lightly toast your chopped nuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for a few minutes until fragrant, or bake them in a 350°F (175°C) oven for about 5-7 minutes. Watch them closely to prevent burning.
Serving Vessels: While traditional bowls work perfectly, chilled glasses or even decorative jars can elevate the presentation of your sundaes, making them feel even more special.
