8 tbsp. guacamole
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 medium red onion, chopped

3. Remove the cooked turkey from heat and set aside.
4. Chop tomatoes and onion, and prepare guacamole.

6. Spoon the seasoned turkey onto each cabbage leaf, then top with chopped tomatoes, red onion, and guacamole.
7. Serve with optional sides like beans and rice.
Notes
Don’t overcook the turkey. Once the meat is browned and the spices are fragrant, it is ready to come off the heat to stay juicy.
Prepare your toppings while the turkey cooks. Efficiency in the kitchen is key, and having your vegetables chopped and ready allows you to assemble the tacos while the meat is still perfectly warm.
Use fresh spices. Since the flavor of this dish relies on a simple blend of seasonings, using fresh garlic and onion powder makes a noticeable difference in the final taste.
Dry your leaves. After separating the cabbage leaves, pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel so the meat and toppings cling to the leaf properly rather than sliding off.
