Description
This Creamy Garlic Parmesan Corn is the ultimate side dish, a symphony of sweet corn kernels bathed in a luscious, garlicky, and cheesy sauce. The creamy texture and savory flavors are an absolute delight, perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cups fresh, frozen, or canned corn (I used canned corn (drained) in these photos. If using frozen corn, you may need to increase the cooking time by 1–2 minutes)
1½ teaspoons garlic powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley for topping if desired
Instructions
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add corn, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5-6 minutes, or until heated through.
Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese.
Remove from heat and stir until the cheese melts. Garnish with parsley, if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use high-quality butter for the best flavor.
Grate the Parmesan cheese yourself for a better texture and flavor. Pre-shredded cheese often has additives that affect melting.
Season to taste! Don’t be afraid to adjust the amount of salt and pepper to suit your preferences.
Serve it hot, this dish is at its best right after it’s made.
If you don’t have heavy cream, you can use a mix of milk and a bit of cornstarch to make the sauce creamy.
