Description

  • 1 cup chunky salsa or salsa verde
  • ¼ cup chicken broth (plus more if needed)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Flour or corn tortillas, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium heat. Sauté garlic 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in onion powder, chili powder, cumin, and salt; cook 15 seconds to bloom spices.
  2. Add salsa and chicken broth; simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  3. Toss shredded chicken into sauce. Stir 5–6 minutes until heated and coated. Add more broth if needed for moisture.
  4. Stir in lime juice to brighten flavors.
  5. Spoon chicken onto warm tortillas. Add desired toppings like lettuce, avocado, cheese, or sour cream. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use rotisserie chicken for quick, flavorful shortcut.

Add extra broth if salsa is thick to adjust consistency.
