Description

A hearty and flavorful wrap featuring 1 lb of seasoned ground beef and creamy nacho cheese sauce, all nestled in a warm flour tortilla with fresh lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and a satisfying crunch of crushed tortilla chips or Doritos. Quick to make, customizable, and perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Core Ingredients

1 lb ground beef 80/20
1 packet taco seasoning mix (or homemade blend)
¾ cup nacho cheese sauce (store‑bought or homemade)
4 large flour tortillas (12‑inch)

Fresh & Crunchy Toppings

½ cup shredded lettuce
½ cup chopped tomatoes
½ cup crushed tortilla chips or Doritos

For Searing

Cooking spray or butter

Instructions

  • Cook the Beef:
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart until slightly crispy. Drain off excess fat. Sprinkle taco seasoning over the beef, add about ¼ cup water, stir, and simmer until the seasoning thickens (3–4 min).

  • Warm the Tortillas:
Lightly spray or grease a clean skillet. Warm each tortilla for about 15 seconds per side until pliable.

  • Assemble the Wraps:
Spread ~3 Tbsp nacho cheese sauce onto each tortilla. Top with seasoned beef, then sprinkle crushed chips/Doritos, lettuce, and tomatoes.

  • Wrap & Crisp:
Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll bottom-up like a burrito. Lightly coat the skillet with cooking spray or butter. Place seam-side down and toast 1–2 minutes per side until golden and crisp.

Notes

  • Double cheese technique: The nacho sauce provides creamy richness, while the crunchy chips add extra texture and optional shredded cheddar adds stretch.

  • Avoid sogginess: Put cheese and beef directly on the tortilla to shield it from moisture, then layer lettuce and tomatoes.

  • Customizability: Add jalapeños, avocado, beans, or sour cream to tailor each wrap.

  • Meal prep-friendly: Cook beef mixture ahead (up to 4 days refrigerated). Rewarm, assemble, and toast when ready.
