Description
Low-carb comfort food featuring juicy ground beef, caramelized onions, and bell peppers wrapped in melted Monterey Jack cheese. A creamy twist on the classic sandwich, perfect for quick dinners and keto snacking.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 16 oz ground beef
- ½ medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 oz cream cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment. Divide shredded cheese into 4 portions and spread into circles. Bake 5–7 minutes until melted and golden at edges. Let cool until flexible.
- Cook ground beef in skillet over medium-high heat until browned. Drain fat. Add onion and bell pepper; sauté until softened.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce, reduce heat, mix in cream cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
- Spoon filling onto cheese circles. Roll tightly while cheese is warm. If firm, warm for 30 seconds before rolling.
- Place seam-down on plate. Optional: sprinkle with parsley or extra cheese. Serve warm.
Notes
Do not overbake cheese; it should remain flexible.
Monterey Jack melts best; alternatives include provolone or mozzarella.
Cream cheese adds moisture and flavor; don’t omit.
Reheat leftover roll ups at 350°F (175°C) for 5–7 minutes or air fryer.
Store airtight in refrigerator up to 3 days.
