An effortless no-bake dessert combining the crunch of Honey Nut Chex™ cereal with a chewy peanut butter and honey binder, topped with a velvety smooth chocolate peanut butter ganache. A microwave-only treat that delivers professional, fudge-like results.
Ingredients
For the Base
- 1/2 cup honey, 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp salt, 5 1/2 cups Honey Nut Chex™ cereal
For the Chocolate Ganache
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
Prep: Line a 13×9 pan with parchment paper.
Syrup: Microwave honey and sugar for 2 mins, stirring every 30 secs until bubbling.
Mix: Stir 1 cup peanut butter and salt into the hot syrup. Fold in Chex cereal until coated.
Press: Pour into pan and press down very firmly with a greased spatula.
Ganache: Microwave chocolate chips, 1/3 cup peanut butter, and butter for 1 min. Stir until smooth.
Chill: Spread over the base and refrigerate for 30 mins until set.
Notes
Pro Pressing Tip: Pressing the cereal mixture firmly prevents bars from crumbling when sliced.
Clean Cuts: Run a sharp knife under hot water and wipe dry before each slice to cut through the chilled chocolate smoothly.
Storage: Store in the fridge for up to 1 week; they stay firmest when chilled.
