Description
These Easter Magic Bars are a decadent, gooey holiday treat. Combining buttery graham crackers, chocolate, and peanut butter with a festive pastel M&M topping, they are held together by a rich, caramelized layer of sweetened condensed milk. An effortless one-pan dessert for any spring celebration.
Ingredients
The Base
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
The ‘Magic’ Layers
- 2/3 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup peanut butter chips
- 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
The Topping
- 1 cup Easter M&M’s
Instructions
Crust: Preheat oven to 350°F. Stir graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a 13×9 pan. Press firmly into an even layer.
Layer: Sprinkle oats, chocolate chips, and peanut butter chips over the crust.
Bind: Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the chips in a zig-zag motion.
Finish: Sprinkle M&M’s over the top and bake for 22–25 minutes until edges are golden brown.
Set: Allow to cool completely in the pan before slicing.
Notes
Parchment Paper Hack: Line the pan for easy removal and cleaner slices.
The ‘Magic’ Binder: The condensed milk caramelizes as it bakes, seeping through the layers to create a fudge-like center.
Oat Texture: Use old-fashioned oats for a heartier bite; quick oats can become too mushy.
