Ingredients
Core Ingredients
1 cup heat-treated all-purpose flour
½ cup unsalted butter (softened) or refined coconut oil
½ cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp milk (any variety)
½ cup mini chocolate chips
Optional Add-Ins (use up to ½ cup total)
2 tbsp peanut butter or almond butter
Crushed pretzels
Toffee bits or caramel chips
Rolled oats or flaxseeds
1 scoop protein powder
Pinch of instant espresso powder
Instructions
Heat-Treat the Flour
Spread the flour on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5–7 minutes, or microwave in 30-second bursts, until it reaches 165°F. Let it cool completely.
Cream Butter and Sugar
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy. This forms the smooth base of your dough.
Add Vanilla and Milk
Stir in the vanilla extract and milk. Mix until well combined. If the dough feels too dry, add a small splash more milk, one teaspoon at a time.
Fold in Chocolate Chips and Add-ins
Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips and any additional mix-ins. Don’t overmix just until evenly distributed.
Roll and Chill
Scoop out small portions of dough and roll into bite-sized balls. Place them on a parchment-lined tray and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving.
