Ingredients

  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups freshly grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco)
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • Dash freshly ground black pepper
  • ⅔ cup pecans, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Let cream cheese sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to soften.
  2. Combine cream cheese and cheddar cheese; beat or stir until smooth.
  3. Mix in green onions, Worcestershire, hot pepper sauce, parsley, garlic powder, oregano, and black pepper until evenly distributed.
  4. Transfer mixture to plastic wrap; shape into ball and wrap tightly. Chill at least 2 hours.
  5. Chop pecans finely and toast in skillet over low heat 3–4 minutes if desired. Cool completely.
  6. Unwrap chilled cheese ball and roll in pecans, pressing gently to adhere.
